About Elizabeth

Elizabeth leads the Groom Aviation marketing sector. Armed with an aviation degree from Oklahoma State University, a SEL Instrument Rating and a strong OEM / product marketing background, she brings experience in marketing strategy, budget development, large-scale event planning, technical research / analysis, as well as in-house creative services (including graphic design, copy-writing, web services, photography and print management).

Aviation Background

Elizabeth Allenbaugh brings a unique combination of talents to the Aviation Marketing world. A pilot since the age of 17, Elizabeth not only excels in creating general aviation marketing strategies, she is also an aviation copywriter, graphic designer, web designer, and photographer.

Elizabeth graduated from Oklahoma State University in the Fall of 2009 with a degree in Aerospace Administration and Operations, as well as her single-engine instrument rating.

After graduation Elizabeth began working in Piper's Marketing department (January 2010). There she managed the CRM system and website, aided in trade event logistics planning and worked side-by-side with Piper's advertising agency.

In 2011, Piper's advertising agency closed their doors. Instead of hiring a new agency, Elizabeth lead the push to bring all design, copywriting and media buying in-house. The executive team agreed to give the in-house creative team a trial period.

Over the next several months, Elizabeth managed the process of completely overhauling Piper's brochures, specification sheets and advertisements: from paint scheme design to print management. The final results exceeded expectations and Piper chose to continue with in-house creative.

In June of 2012, Elizabeth chose to leave Piper in order to dedicate more time to her husband's diesel business, Pusher Intakes, where she still serves today as Vice President.

Elizabeth joined Groom Aviation in July of 2012, helping secure a new OEM client. For over a year and half, Elizabeth managed this client's marketing, PR / communications, social media, marketing strategies and trade events.

For other Groom Aviation clients, Elizabeth has managed press relations, created new advertising campaigns, performed technical market research, and launched new marketing strategies and coordinating budgets.
