Randy Groom Named Pinnacle Air Network Executive Director

Pinnacle Air Network announced today that Jim Taylor, Executive Director of the Pinnacle Air Network, retired from the company, and that Randy Groom of Groom Aviation will serve as his successor.

During his tenure with Pinnacle, Taylor brought great leadership and many milestone contracts to the member network. Taylor relied on the foundation of his 43-year career at Piedmont Aviation, where Taylor began working as a line service team member and worked his way up to CEO.

“We are sad to see Jim go but understand he wants to take time to enjoy his family and the fruits of his labor in this great industry. We appreciate all of Jim’s efforts, and wish him the best,” said Will Cutter, President and CEO of Cutter Aviation, and Chairman of the Board of the Pinnacle Air Network.

Serving as Taylor’s successor, Pinnacle Air Network proudly announced the appointment of Randy Groom as the new Executive Director of the member network. Groom has one of the most comprehensive resumes in the general aviation industry, ranging from flight instructor and charter pilot to Executive Vice President of Piper Aircraft and President of Beechcraft.

Like Taylor, Groom will bring to Pinnacle a firm grasp of the general aviation industry and has what it will take to build a stronger, larger and more customer focused network.
